Description
Every brain is at risk.
Supporting people living with dementia in Bermuda, along with the families and caregivers who care for them.

Dementia is a progressive and life-limiting condition that results from diseases affecting the brain. Although changes in memory are often among the earliest signs, dementia can also impact reasoning, communication, behaviour, and the ability to carry out day-to-day activities. As the condition advances, people living with dementia typically need increasing levels of care and support. Each person’s experience is different, but dementia ultimately affects not only the individual, but also their family, caregivers, and wider support network.

Dementia Bermuda provides support for people living with dementia, as well as the families and caregivers who walk alongside them. The organization also works to strengthen awareness, education, advocacy, and services in response to the ongoing needs and gaps in dementia care across Bermuda.
